The HeroHoster difference

Smooth gameplay on bare-metal hardware in tier-3 datacentres, with near-100% uptime. Every plan, not just the expensive ones, gets the same processors, the same NVMe storage and the same protection.

★★★★★ 4.8 from 1,240 server owners · 7-day money back
  • Hardware built for tick rate

High-clock CPUs and NVMe drives. Minecraft cares far more about single-core speed than core count, so that is what we buy.

  • HeroShield DDoS protection

Always-on filtering at the network edge, included on every plan. Griefers can throw whatever they like at it.

  • A free subdomain, instantly

Share yourname.herohoster.io the moment your server boots, and bring your own domain whenever you want.

  • Support who actually play

Real Minecraft players on chat and tickets around the clock, not a bot reading from a script.

Minecraft server hosting, built for players

HeroHoster is Minecraft server hosting for people who would rather be playing than troubleshooting. Every plan runs on NVMe SSD storage and high-clock processors, the combination that actually keeps a server smooth, because chunk generation and redstone care far more about single-core speed than core count. Instant setup, always-on DDoS filtering, and support staff who play the game.

How to make a Minecraft server

Making a Minecraft server used to mean port forwarding and a spare PC. Now it is three steps: pick the plan that matches your player count, choose your server type (Vanilla, Paper, Spigot, Bukkit, Purpur, Forge or Fabric) and hit deploy. HeroManager hands you a console, file browser, scheduled restarts and sub-users, so trusted friends can help run the place without seeing your billing.

Modded Minecraft server hosting

Modded Minecraft asks far more of a server than vanilla, and our plans from Iron Man up are sized for it. One-click installs cover 200+ modpacks across CurseForge, Feed The Beast, Technic and ATLauncher, including RLCraft, Pixelmon, SkyFactory, All the Mods and Create. Forge, Fabric, NeoForge and Quilt are supported, with full FTP for the packs that need hand-tuning.

Cheap Minecraft hosting for Java and Bedrock

Cheap hosting usually means oversold hardware and a support queue that never moves. The $2.95 Steve plan sits on the same machines, the same NVMe storage and the same DDoS protection as every tier above it. Java and Bedrock are both supported, so console and mobile players can join the PC crowd through a bridge. No setup fee, no annual contract, 7-day money back.

Questions

Before you pick a hero

How much RAM do I actually need?

For vanilla survival with a handful of friends, 1–2 GB is genuinely enough. Plugins and small modpacks want 4 GB. Big packs like RLCraft or Pixelmon are much happier at 8 GB, and anything running a network of linked servers should start at 16 GB. If you guess wrong, changing plan takes a couple of minutes and keeps your world.

Is the modpack installer really one click?

Yes. Pick a pack from the list in HeroManager, confirm the version, and it installs and restarts the server for you. Switching to a different pack later is the same three clicks, and your previous world is kept unless you tell us to wipe it.

Can I upload my own mods and plugins?

Always. Every plan includes full FTP access to the whole server directory, so you can drop in jars, edit configs, upload an existing world or pull a backup down to your own machine.

Do you support Bedrock as well as Java?

Both. You can run a pure Bedrock server, a pure Java one, or bridge the two so console, mobile and PC players share a single world.

Is there a player limit?

No hard cap, slots are unlimited on every plan. The player counts on each card are honest guidance about what that much memory comfortably handles, not a licence limit.

What happens after the first month?

You pay the recurring price printed on the card, which is why it is printed on the card. No price jump buried in an email three months from now.

Where are your servers located?

Our current footprint covers the US east and west coasts, central Europe and the UK. Pick the region closest to most of your players at checkout; we can move you later for free.

Can you migrate my existing server?

Yes, at no charge on every plan. Send us your current host details or a world upload and our team moves the world, plugins and configs across, usually the same day.

Do you offer a money-back guarantee?

A full refund within the first 7 days, no interrogation. If HeroHoster is not right for your server, you should not be paying for it.

Can I upgrade later without losing my world?

Yes. Levelling up from Steve to Iron Man, or Iron Man to Thor, keeps the world, the plugins and the player data exactly as they were. You are billed the difference, prorated.
